Growth Capital Ventures (GCV) is a UK-based investment firm comprising of two business units: GCV Invest and GCV Labs. GCV Invest is a Private Investor Network that provides members with access to compelling tax-efficient investment opportunities and property transactions, enabling our network of experienced investors to build a diversified investment portfolio and access high-growth opportunities. GCV Labs is a Venture Builder that creates, launches and scales innovative, technology-enabled startup companies. Providing full-stack software development, back-office support and business strategy guidance, our specialist team supports the full growth journey of transformational businesses, from idea-stage to exit. Since being founded, GCV has developed a carefully-curated portfolio of 15 startup companies spanning multiple sectors, including fintech, banking and media tech. The likes of Intelligence Fusion, a threat intelligence Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company, achieved a successful return for investors in 2022 after being acquired by a US-based risk services platform. With a network of over 700 investors, having co-invested over £100m and, as a result, created more than 600 jobs across our portfolio companies, GCV is focused on generating superior investment returns for our investor network whilst creating a positive social, environmental and economic impact.

Finexos, founded in 2017 and based in London, offers an AI-driven SaaS solution that improves credit decisioning and monitoring. The company’s proprietary risk engine, FIOLA, leverages advanced AI, data science, behavioral analytics and multi-source data including open banking and machine learning. Finexos aims to transform the credit scoring process and stands at the intersection of technology and finance. The startup focuses on automating and improving the accuracy of creditworthiness assessments. In December 2023 Finexos secured seed funding which it will use to accelerate its go-to-market strategy and expand its reach in the credit and affordability risk analytics sector. The company is presented as Finexos Group Holdings Ltd.

The platform leverages data — including beacon technology — to generate insights that help clients understand and engage their audiences. The company was co-created and launched by GCV Labs in conjunction with entrepreneur Bryan Hoare, who is CEO. n-gage.io aims to expand operations and continue developing its technology to transform visitor engagement and loyalty. The recent SEIS-eligible seed funding is intended to support product development and market entry into the global attractions sector.

Hive HR is a cloud-based SaaS platform that supports HR teams by collating and analysing employee feedback in real time and on a continuous basis. The platform is designed to improve employee engagement and communication, help clarify and implement policies, and evolve HR services within organisations. Hive serves clients across sectors including banking, government bodies, property and education, with named customers such as Hermes, Shop Direct, Travelodge, Tarmac, River Island and various NHS and public sector organisations. The company plans to use new funding to expand sales and marketing resources, create new roles, and roll out a number of product enhancements. Hive has grown quickly in the last three years with very little capital and is entering an expansion phase supported by new investor backing.
