modeFinance is a Trieste-based company that specializes in economic-financial valuations and credit risk management for corporations. It applies Big Data to finance and operates as a credit rating agency specialized in economic-financial and credit risk valuations. The company was created in Trieste's Area Science Park by Valentino Pediroda and Mattia Ciprian as a spin-off from Trieste University. modeFinance recently obtained ESMA certification to operate as a credit rating agency and can provide valuations of over 100 million companies worldwide, processing over 100 million balance sheets per year. Its assessments are available via the free mobile and web app s-peek. The company received a €1.3m investment from Gruppo Corvallis, funds that will allow it to grow globally; Gruppo Corvallis acquired a 43% stake via Corvallis BI controlled by Corvallis Holding.
