- Jun Group
Led · Equity · Jul 2015
Jun Group builds and sells mobile video advertising and branded-content solutions, including promotional websites and microsites. The company has shifted to emphasize mobile as users move from desktop browsers to app-based experiences. About half of Jun Group’s business now comes from branded content while it continues to run video inventory on advertiser-owned sites and third-party players. Jun Group reported roughly 90% annualized revenue growth over the prior two years and is profitable. The company says it regularly exceeds Moat benchmarks by 10% or more and posts below-1% fraud ratings from Integral Ad Science. Management has signaled that new capital is intended to scale into mobile opportunities while retaining profitability. Jun Group provides Fortune 500 brands, major entertainment companies, and media and creative agencies with a social video platform that distributes content across social networks, mobile devices, premium content sites, and YouTube. The platform delivers millions of monthly opt-in video views and includes an analytics dashboard that reports real-time data on views, shares, likes, tweets, ratings, comments and geographic dispersal down to the state and town. Founded in 2005 by CEO Mitchell Reichgut and based in New York City and Los Angeles, the company focuses on social video distribution and measurement. Jun Group recently raised $2.5M from Western Technology Investment. The company intends to use the capital to build its sales, business development and client services teams and to advance its distribution and analytics technology.
