YueMei, launched in 2012, is a leading Chinese internet medical-aesthetics platform that built a community-plus-POP e-commerce model with online reviews, credential verification, and safety guarantees to improve consumer decision efficiency. After its 1.0 phase the platform reports over 12 million monthly visits, more than 3,000 mall partner medical institutions, 8,000 registered plastic surgeons (75% with their own service SKUs), and annual transaction volumes of several hundred million RMB. In its 2.0 phase YueMei is focusing on deep online–offline integration and optimizing the B-side by forming deep doctor partnerships and building out offline capacity. The company has self-operated an offline medical-aesthetic clinic, YueMei Haoyi, which completed a full online-to-offline service loop and reached breakeven within six months. YueMei says it will further datafy and standardize services, build a lifetime customer-value system, explore replicability of its offline model and deepen cooperation with quality offline institutions. Proceeds from the latest financing are planned for team building, efficient targeted marketing, and expanding the offline footprint, and the company reports financial growth consistent with IPO standards and may pursue a domestic listing when market conditions allow.
