Eleven Therapeutics develops nucleic acid therapeutics, centered on a programmable siRNA modality called SCSI-RNA™ designed to address delivery, durability, and efficacy challenges. The company’s platform leverages high-throughput combinatorial chemistry and AI to design siRNAs with ultra-long durability. Eleven is focusing its development pipeline on siRNA treatments for a range of respiratory diseases and has a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the Vaccine Research Centre of NIAID. It operates three collaborative hubs in Cambridge (UK), Boston (U.S.), and Tel Aviv (Israel) and is led by Prof. Yaniv Erlich, CEO. Financially, Eleven completed a $22M seed raise that includes grant and equity commitments aimed at advancing the platform and prophylactics development. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation committed $9M—$5M toward future equity investment in the platform and $4M as a non-dilutive grant—to support development and promote wide accessibility in developing countries.
