nello is a Munich, Germany–based IoT platform provider that develops a smart intercom solution to upgrade existing intercom systems and enable keyless, remote access to residential buildings. The product allows apartment dwellers to remotely control the main entrance door and to share access with visitors or delivery companies. The system aims to optimize logistics for deliveries and to help service providers streamline processes and reduce CO2 emissions. The company raised €1.5m in funding and plans to use the proceeds to grow the team, support market entry and create partnerships with European delivery companies. nello is led by co‑founder and CEO Dr. Christoph Baumeister.
