- Everybody Counts
Led · Equity · Jan 2026
Everybody Counts has built a maths-learning platform that combines a simple, child-friendly front-end with machine-learning back-end technology to personalise instruction and localise cultural references and languages at an affordable price point. The programme is multilingual, intuitive and gamified, aiming to make high-quality maths education accessible to every child, including those in underserved markets such as Vietnam, Bangladesh and the Philippines. The company already partners with global NGOs and charities—including the UN, UNESCO and Save the Children—to broaden its reach and impact. By focusing on closing the global numeracy gap, the platform addresses a market where 59% of children fail to meet minimum maths proficiency and only 12% of adults demonstrate competency. Proceeds from its latest raise will be used to convert a growing U.S. sales pipeline, accelerate wider market deployment and boost R&D for further product enhancements.
- KYMIRA
Led · Grant · May 2024
KYMIRA embeds bio-responsive infrared technology into apparel that converts UV, visible light and body heat into targeted infrared wavelengths that penetrate about 4cm into muscle tissue. Its core product line targets athlete recovery and performance, and the company sells to clients including American football teams in the US and professional swimmers in the UK. The company plans further expansion into the US market and intends to launch a new range of bio-tracking devices. Henley Business Angels members provided a follow-on private investment alongside a £500k grant made via Henley Business Angels’ Investor Partnership with Innovate UK. KYMIRA was also selected for the fourth cohort of the Comcast SportsTech Accelerator, which it began in March, supporting its US growth trajectory. CEO Timothy Brownstone has indicated the company is exploring broader medical applications of its technology beyond sports.
