Founded in 2020, SAPI delivers infrastructure that embeds lending directly into payment flows, allowing marketplaces and payment platforms to advance capital to their small-business customers and collect repayments at source. The company’s technology combines underwriting, servicing and capital access so that credit can be extended quickly and with minimal friction. To date, SAPI’s partners have advanced more than $40 million to small businesses, 90 percent of which are immigrant- or woman-owned, underscoring the firm’s focus on underserved segments. With offices in London and Hanoi, SAPI has also created a financial technology entity in Vietnam to accelerate expansion across Asia-Pacific markets. The newly raised capital will be used to scale its repayment-at-source technology and broaden its global footprint. By partnering with payment platforms, SAPI aims to make access to capital as easy as accepting a card payment, addressing the persistent financing gap faced by micro and minority-led enterprises. The company’s mission is to make access to finance fair, effortless and inclusive while aligning commercial outcomes with positive social impact.
