CytoMed Therapeutics, a 2018 spin-out from Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), is advancing allogeneic γδ T-cell therapies designed to offer faster, more accessible and cost-efficient cancer treatment. The company is running a Phase I clinical trial in Singapore and a Phase II investigator-initiated study in India, and it recently reported promising pre-clinical data for its CTM-GDT program in acute myeloid leukemia in collaboration with MD Anderson Cancer Center. Management is also exploring lower-cost manufacturing of donor-sourced, unmodified γδ T cells in China and has secured Chinese patents covering its γδ T-cell and CAR-γδ T technologies. In August, CytoMed unveiled LongevityBank, a new subsidiary that will provide personalized cellular banking services to enable future autologous therapies. Financially, the Nasdaq-listed firm carries a modest 0.07 debt-to-equity ratio, logged an LTM EBITDA loss of US$2.5 million, but achieved a 92.5 % gross margin and 63 % year-over-year revenue growth. The company’s market capitalization stands at roughly US$24.4 million with its shares trading around US$2.11, although the stock is down nearly 38 % year-to-date. These figures reflect a capital-light profile as CytoMed pushes its clinical programs and subsidiary initiatives forward.
