Real World Health develops AI/ML solutions tailored to NHS organisations to improve operating-theatre productivity, plan bed capacity, and predict mental health crises in children. Its elective theatre optimisation tool, Opfeed, converts surgeon notes, predicts procedure durations, and optimises theatre bookings to reduce costs and increase throughput. The company reports projects generating up to £5.5M in annual savings, per-theatre running-cost reductions of more than £130,000, an 18% increase in patients per session, and an 87% reduction in late finish times. Its tools are used by more than seventy organisations across the UK, the Middle East, and Australia and support millions of patients daily. Real World Health has been a trusted NHS partner for over 10 years and is developing an AI/ML model with a local council to predict child mental-health crises by linking social care, education, and healthcare data. The new funding will be used to expand commercialisation and enhance product offerings to scale impact across healthcare systems. RwHealth, founded in 2017 and legally listed as Draper and Dash Limited, is a London-based provider whose platform combines AI, machine learning and data science to give healthcare providers access to real‑world data and analytics. Its tools can predict outcomes, model treatment options, improve safety and increase efficiency to support clinicians’ decision-making. The company’s platform has been used to help UK hospitals combat bed shortages and tackle pandemic-related waiting-list issues. RwHealth works with more than 40 providers in the UK and internationally, and its AI technology has processed more than 10.5 million patients in the UK and a further 5.5 million across the Middle East and Australia. In October 2021 RwHealth raised $8.4 million (€7.2M) in a Series A to fund efforts to help clinicians manage elective recovery backlogs in the NHS and to advance clinical research in areas such as AML and CAR‑T. The capital is intended to expand deployment for elective-recovery workflows and support advanced clinical research applications. Draper & Dash offers a SaaS analytics platform that uses machine learning to predict demand for hospitals and care providers and to improve operational performance. Its core analytics suite includes pre-built modules covering waiting times, ED performance and outcomes, cancer care, beds and capacity, operating theatres efficiency, clinical coding depth, mortality and outcomes, outpatients efficiency, diabetic analytics and more. The company has deployed its software into over 20 public and private hospitals and healthcare providers across the UK, US and Australia, including Royal Free London, Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Trust and Royal Melbourne Health. Draper & Dash is led by founder and CEO Orlando Agrippa and is a member of Level39. The company recently raised funding and plans to use proceeds to extend AI capabilities, further develop its product offering, and grow sales and marketing to expand into new territories. The article does not disclose revenue or other financial operating metrics beyond the fundraising amount.
