MetaCene is developing a next‑gen blockchain MMORPG on Unreal Engine 5 with accessibility across PC, iOS, Android and cloud platforms to support million‑player online experiences. The game emphasizes player ownership, co‑creation and co‑governance through NFT collections, social guild DAOs, and an NFTFi system. During two alpha test rounds in 2023, participating players grew from 2,961 to over 5,000 and average daily playtime rose from 2.5 to 4 hours; over 20% of players made on‑chain purchases averaging $143 per paying player. MetaCene has launched two major NFT collections (the 500‑piece Apostle MAN and the 2,997‑piece Cece Cube), which together have traded 1,314 ETH and saw the MAN collection grow ~400% during Alpha Test V.2. The team is led by founder and CEO Alan Tan and includes industry veterans from Shanda Games, Blizzard and Perfect World. The company plans to use product features (Realms server NFTs, Content Creator Incubation Program), AI integration and multi‑chain support (Rangers Protocol) to prepare for Alpha Test V.3 in March 2024 and a Commercial Version 1.0 release in 2024.
