Rimac produces the Nevera, a $2.5M all-electric hypercar and a testbed for the company’s advanced battery, powertrain and software systems. The Nevera delivers 1,914 horsepower, claims 0–60 mph in 1.85 seconds, and its 150-unit production run is sold out. Rimac also operates Rimac Technology, a subsidiary that supplies battery systems, software optimization, ADAS and energy-storage components to automakers including Porsche and Pininfarina. Founder and CEO Mate Rimac said the tech subsidiary will eventually produce tens of thousands of EV components each year. The company redesigned the Nevera’s powertrain and developed a next-generation battery, inverter, gearbox, motor, control systems and infotainment system while producing parts at its own facilities. Rimac plans to scale manufacturing and supply-chain control ahead of an eventual IPO. Rimac develops electric hypercars and vehicle components, best known for the Concept_One and the Nevera. The group also spun off its engineering division in January to operate as a standalone supplier of EV technology to third-party manufacturers. Rimac’s technology is already implemented in cars from Aston Martin, Automobili Pininfarina, Hyundai, Kia, Koenigsegg, and Porsche. The company employs over 1,300 people and is expanding both its product lineup and production capabilities. Founder Mate Rimac says the company will grow its family of hypercar models, begin mass production of several OEM electrification projects, build a new home in Croatia, and roll out the Nevera to customers worldwide. Recent corporate moves and investor support are intended to accelerate Rimac’s role in the transition to electric vehicles across the automotive sector.
