LUMA Vision has developed VERAFEYE™, an all-in-one 4D imaging and navigation platform that combines a proprietary catheter sensor with advanced digital imaging and deep learning to deliver high-resolution, 360-degree imagery of the beating heart. The system is designed to provide real-time, comprehensive anatomical data at the point of therapy and can be used alongside other catheters or systems without reliance on external imaging like X-ray or CT. LUMA Vision positions VERAFEYE for multiple cardiac applications, including atrial fibrillation, left atrial appendage closure and cardiac valve replacement. The company plans to use recent financing to secure FDA clearance, prepare for U.S. commercialization and develop next-generation versions of the platform for additional clinical applications. LUMA Vision is a venture-backed medical device company with offices in Dublin and Munich and has grown its team significantly over the past three years. The company was originally a spinout from BioInnovate Ireland and Trinity College Dublin and is led by CEO Fionn Lahart and CTO Christoph Hennersperger. OneProjects designs and develops a four-dimensional (4D) imaging platform for cardiac applications that combines a proprietary catheter-based sensor with advanced imaging and machine learning. Its VERAFEYE™ technology delivers live 360-degree, high-resolution imagery of the beating heart and real-time tissue analysis to determine where tissue has been fully ablated. The platform targets improved outcomes and safety in catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation and other cardiac arrhythmias and can be applied to structural heart procedures. Originating from Bioinnovate Ireland and spun out of Trinity College Dublin, the company was co-founded in 2017 by CEO Fionn Lahart and CTO Christoph Hennersperger. Financially, OneProjects raised $17M in financing (an $8M Series A2 plus $9M in grants) to advance its programs. The company plans to use the funds to complete product development, conduct clinical trials, obtain FDA clearance, and prepare for U.S. commercialization of its first product.
