empow offers an orchestration platform that uses AI and machine-learning analytics to classify threats and alerts by intent, surface the most actionable incidents, and trigger responses through customers’ existing security stacks. The company positions its product in the next-generation SIEM space and serves medium and large enterprises and service providers across North America and Europe. empow is headquartered in Israel and maintains a North American marketing and sales office in Boston (Cambridge). Leadership changes include newly appointed CEO Peter George while founder Avi Chesla will move to CTO. The company raised a new $10M Series B and says it will use the funds to extend its leadership in next-generation SIEM. empow plans to expand its global sales, marketing and finance operations in Boston with the new financing. empow builds a cybersecurity platform that abstracts an organization’s security configuration into primary components called “Security Particles™” and uses deep learning to define each particle’s security role. The platform creates a common language across previously siloed tools, enabling instant coordination and unique automated responses to security events. empow’s solution is already deployed with major U.S. enterprises and service providers. The company was founded in 2014 by Avi Chesla, who serves as co-founder and CEO. empow plans to use newly raised capital to further develop its platform and expand into the U.S. market, beginning with a Boston office for sales and support. No revenue or user metrics were disclosed in the article.
