    Clean Mobile AG develops highly efficient drive train systems for light electric vehicles, centering on its “Harmonic Chain Drive” driveline for e-bikes and pedelecs. The company intends to use new funds to further develop, expand and roll out that driveline. It completed a €7.7m Series B financing to support those plans. Clean Mobile sells to OEM vehicle manufacturers worldwide and will leverage a cooperation with iwis for production and access to iwis’ global marketing and production networks. Founded in 2006 by CEO Werner Gruber, the company is based in Unterhaching (Munich area), Germany and employs 30 professionals. Clean Mobile develops proprietary and patented technologies around the entire drive train, including high-efficiency battery management, optimized electrical drives and integrated vehicle management systems. The company sells its drive systems through leading vehicle manufacturers into cargo and consumer markets. After product development and first field tests in 2008 and early 2009, Clean Mobile began commercializing its products in the second half of 2009. It is now working with over a dozen leading vehicle brands. The company is based in Unterhaching (Munich area), Germany. The new funding is intended to finance further growth.
