Viracoat is a subsidiary of Viracorp Ltd developing a PPE mask that begins killing COVID-19 and other viruses on contact. The product is undergoing final accreditation testing in the biomedical facilities at Lancaster University. The company plans to put the product into production at scale by August 2021 through The MEL Group at Sudbury, Suffolk. International sales and distribution have been contracted, prioritising hospital and healthcare workers, and international pre-production orders are already being processed. Viracoat raised £2M to fund the final stages of accreditation and to conduct research activities.
