Overview

JCE Group AB, or the “JCE Group”, is a privately owned international and diversified investment company headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden. As we believe in a decentralised organisation and local decision making, the JCE Group head office consists of a small team of only about 15 people. The JCE Group’s investment portfolio is divided into Equity Investment and Asset Management. Equity investments includes all unlisted companies and venture investments and Asset Management includes all public traded companies and securities. For unlisted core holdings, our ambition is to be the largest shareholder in the company (normally >50%) and to be able to exercise active ownership. Our investment horizon is undefined as we do not invest external capital, forcing us to exit within a specific time frame. Financial investments include various investments such as shares (both listed and unlisted), bonds, investment funds, alternative investments, etc. Financial investments are mainly short-term, or otherwise regarded as non-strategic. Its main purpose is to serve as a liquidity buffer and to provide risk reduction through diversification. The JCE Group does not usually exercise active ownership with regards to financial investments. The management team is made up of people with mainly financial and legal backgrounds, but also with significant operational experience. The team’s combined experience includes former employment in well-known and respected companies such as AB Volvo, Accenture, Bure AB, Capgemini Consulting, Arthur D. Little etc. Furthermore, the team has own hands-on experience from both a wide variety of capital market transactions (such as acquisitions, divestments, IPOs and private placements) and from more operational issues (such as controlling, new business start-ups and the operating and reporting structures of large blue chip companies). Together, our combined experience gives us a good idea of how a successful company shall be managed, and allows us a broader perspective on investment opportunities and portfolio companies than just excel spreadsheets and powerpoint presentations.
