Uptime Industries develops Lemony AI, a handheld "AI-in-a-box" node that can run large language models, AI agents, and AI workflows locally. The device is roughly the size of a sandwich, consumes about 65 watts, and can sustain models up to 75 billion parameters. Lemony nodes can be stacked and networked into clusters and can host open-source models or retrofitted closed models; Uptime has partnerships with IBM and JetBrains to give customers easier access to models, including IBM’s closed models. The company is targeting regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, and law that require on-premise data privacy, emphasizing that data and models “stay in your box.” Lemony AI is offered at $499 per month and supports up to five users per unit. Uptime has raised $2 million in seed funding and plans to use the capital to further develop its devices, port Lemony OS to other hardware like Nvidia DGX Spark, and expand its software from single-user to team use.
