Redbird supplies pharmacies with equipment, consumables and its Redbird Health Monitoring software to enable five‑minute rapid diagnostic tests and build patient testing records. Its tests cover ten conditions including anemia, blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, hepatitis B, malaria, typhoid, prostate screening and pregnancy. The company’s revenue model ties software access to the purchase of disposable test strips. Redbird is operating in more than 360 pharmacies in Ghana (mainly Accra and Kumasi) and has recorded over 125,000 tests from more than 35,000 registered patients in the past three years. Founded in 2018, the team includes CEO Patrick Beattie, COO Andrew Quao and CTO Edward Grandstaff. The company plans to use the new funding to grow operations within Ghana and expand to undisclosed new markets.
