Blue Ocean Robotics is an Odense-based robotics venture factory that develops, produces and sells professional service robots and incubates robotic projects into commercial brands. Its portfolio includes UVD Robots (mobile disinfection), GoBe Robots (telepresence) and PTR Robots (patient handling and rehabilitation). The company reports robot sales grew twentyfold from 2018 to 2021 and a current turnover of almost DKK 200M. Blue Ocean Robotics is working on four new types of service robots and plans to launch a cloud-based online platform in 2022 to integrate robots into customer workflows. The firm focuses on improving production quality and reducing costs while expanding global commercialisation of its brands. Blue Ocean Robotics designs, develops and commercializes a portfolio of professional service robots including UVD Robots (disinfection), Beam Robots (telepresence) and PTR Robots (patient handling). The company operates a “robot venture factory” model: new robot concepts are developed in the parent company and moved into separate subsidiary ventures for commercialization and eventual exit. Demand is accelerating globally, and the company is scaling sales, marketing, customer service, finance and production to support deployment. Over the past two months Blue Ocean Robotics hired nearly one new employee per day and now employs more than 100 people. Management emphasizes international commercial scale-up and rapid expansion across healthcare, hospitality, construction and agriculture markets.
