  UpTop provides a cloud-based rental platform that lets renters view units and complete the rental process from their smartphones while enabling owners and managers to list vacancies, screen prospects, eSign leases, collect rent electronically, fulfill maintenance requests, and manage reports and accounting. The platform is offered at no cost to property owners and managers and deposits collected rent directly into their bank accounts. UpTop aims to re-segment the rental market by improving cash flow and bottom lines for property owners and managers. The company plans to use the new funding to expand its platform and build a broader rental ecosystem for renters, owners, and property managers. To accelerate growth, UpTop acquired Yorango earlier this year, a cloud-based property management suite incubated by Cornell eLab. The company emphasizes product-driven signups and expects the expansion to support broader market impact by 2020.
