Led · Equity · Oct 2025
Founded in 2020, Invigilator offers a secure, data-light remote assessment platform used by more than 100 institutions worldwide. The service supports over 850,000 registered students and has processed more than six million results across 75,000 assessments. Its product suite includes mobile and PC proctoring, live AI monitoring, AI assistance detection, identity verification, configurable authentication, and anti-plagiarism tools, all designed to maintain assessment integrity while remaining inclusive and accessible. The company emphasizes low data usage, making it suitable for bandwidth-constrained environments. Led by CEO Nicholas Riemer, Invigilator has positioned itself as a scalable solution for global education markets. The new capital will help fuel geographic expansion, particularly into the UK and US. Continued product enhancements are expected as the platform grows its user base and feature set.

Since launching in 2016 the company’s puree packs are sold through about 12,000 points of sale and the company has pushed into the U.K. market via Waitrose, Ocado and Whole Foods. The business has generated 38.5 million Swiss francs in revenue since 2018 and saw revenues grow 200% between 2021 and 2022; Rama states earnings of 80 million Swiss francs in 2033 are expected this year. The company sources from roughly 200,000 growers and has invested in processing and logistics capacity near the rainforest. Its stated ESG agenda includes fair pricing, community due diligence, biodiversity and climate focus, and an impact report claiming 6.3 million metric tons of CO2 stored with a goal to remove 13.7 million metric tons by 2024. Future plans cited include further internationalization and product expansion, with the U.K. market a current priority.
