Transmute digitizes trade documentation to create cryptographically verifiable and traceable records across entire logistics ecosystems. Its platform combines decentralized identifiers (DID), verifiable credentials (VC) and blockchain technology with existing cloud-based systems to memorialize trade data at every step of a product's journey. The company provides visibility into customers' supplier networks, improving traceability and auditability across supply chains. Transmute is led by co-founder and CEO Karyl Fowler and is based in Austin, Texas. In October 2020 it closed a $2M seed round led by Moonshots Capital with participation from TMV and Kerr Tech Investments. The company plans to deploy the new capital to expand its Austin team to service increasing customer demand.
