Bolero operates a decentralised music-rights investment marketplace that offers fractional shares of future royalties to fans and investors, enabling creators to access immediate liquidity. The company has struck deals with over 60 rights holders and says it has well over 10,000 registered customers, with an average purchase size of $250 per transaction. It has added more than 400 tracks from LEMOTIF LTD's catalogue through a collaboration with producer Le Motif; editorial rights from that catalogue are being released gradually and include 150 works by artists such as JuL, Wizkid, Cerrone, Headie One, Tiakola, Gazo, Morad and ElGrandeToto. Bolero plans to expand beyond individual retail investors to target private investors, finance professionals and exchange platforms. The company intends to use the new capital to accelerate R&D and roll out its model more broadly. To date, Bolero has raised $3.4 million.
