Rebag operates a controlled resale marketplace and retail stores for high-end handbags, accessories, watches and fine jewelry, supported by proprietary Clair AI and Clair Trade pricing and trade-in tools. Its Clair suite can instantly recognize and price bags from the top 50 luxury brands via app or image upload and helped triple the company’s sourcing capabilities. The marketplace lists more than 30,000 items and new categories like fine jewelry and watches grew fourfold in the past year. Rebag reports strong recent growth—50% in 2020 and an estimated 70% in 2021—and an average transaction ticket of about $2,000. The company employs roughly 150 people and operates seven brick-and-mortar stores across New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Beverly Hills and Greenwich, with plans to add more in 2022. Rebag has also updated its in-store experience with high-tech touchpoints such as the Clair Corner self-service kiosk and a Rebag Bar for rapid purchases. Rebag is a NYC-based platform for buying and selling luxury handbags. It operates physical stores in New York, Los Angeles and Miami. The company’s Clair by Rebag is a proprietary software platform that generates an offer instantly. Rebag continues to scale its Infinity Program, a rental/resale hybrid that lets customers trade an initial purchase within a year for credit toward a new style. The company raised $15M in a Series D round led by Novator, bringing total funding to date to $68M. Rebag intends to use the funds to expand its tech development efforts. Rebag operates an online marketplace for pre-owned luxury handbags and has expanded into brick-and-mortar retail. Its shop sells bags from more than 50 designer brands, including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermès and Gucci. The company offers Rebag Infinity, which lets shoppers return any Rebag handbag purchase within six months for a credit of at least 70% toward a future purchase. Since opening retail stores, Rebag says it moved from being 100% digital to roughly 80% digital and 20% offline and has built a sourcing network of more than 20,000 stylists, partners, shoppers and sales associates. Rebag has tripled revenues since its Series B, does not disclose absolute revenue or valuation, and plans to triple its current 100-person team. The company also plans to refine its pricing and handbag-evaluation tools to standardize the resale process and potentially create additional business lines or acquirer interest. Rebagg is a NYC-based resale service for pre-owned luxury goods that lets users submit pictures via its website or app to receive a free, guaranteed quote within one business day. The company offers complimentary pickups in NYC and free shipping boxes across the U.S., and sellers are paid within 1–2 business days of receipt. All handbags are authenticated and quality-checked, and curated inventory is resold at a discount on Trendlee, the company’s luxury e-commerce site. Led by CEO Charles Gorra, Rebagg employs a team of 45. It intends to use the new funding to scale operations, make key hires, further develop its resale-pricing technology, promote the Rebagg brand and expand its sourcing network across geographies. The company has raised $28M to date, including the recently announced Series B. Rebagg operates an online resale marketplace specializing in designer handbags. The company emphasizes removing retail middlemen and offers fast payments to sellers reportedly within days as a competitive differentiator. It has built a sourcing network of over 3,500 third-party stylists, personal shoppers and retail sales associates that supply its luxury inventory. Rebagg competes with marketplaces such as Tradesy, The RealReal, Rent the Runway and eBay. With the new funding it plans to hire for marketing and operations roles, make several key hires, and expand into new warehouse space in Los Angeles and San Francisco while also holding inventory in Chicago. Financially, Rebagg announced an $8 million Series A and says total capital raised is now close to $13 million.
