N-Dream develops AirConsole, a cloud OTA in-car game aggregation platform that runs casual games inside vehicles, using smartphones as controllers and integrating with car displays, sound and interior lighting. The company emphasizes onboard execution rather than cloud streaming to avoid heavy mobile bandwidth requirements. AirConsole offers over 180 games and reports over 16 million players connected on 300 million TVs and set-top boxes worldwide, with some PC/Mac usage via a web portal. The company says it solved cross-device latency with an ultra-low latency input mechanism that makes reactions in fast games effectively instant. AirConsole plans to expand its content library to AndroidTV and pursue partnerships with TV operators and manufacturers to pre-install or distribute the service. The team aims to bring AirConsole to every home with a TV and is initially targeting AndroidTV set-top boxes, citing Swisscom’s pre-installation on 1.5 million SwisscomTV boxes as an early distribution win. AirConsole is a virtual gaming console that uses a PC, Mac, SmartTV or tablet as the screen and smartphones as adaptive gamepads; smartphones automatically adapt to each game's control scheme. Players only need a big screen and a smartphone, and all devices must be connected to the internet (not necessarily the same Wi‑Fi). N-Dream launched AirConsole with six games developed in-house and aims to encourage third‑party game studios to port browser and Unity3D games to the platform. The company emphasizes bringing real social, in-room multiplayer gaming back to life rather than solitary online play. N-Dream is based in Zurich and was founded in January 2015.
