B Garage develops autonomous drones and accompanying software to perform warehouse inventory management with full autonomy across multiple aisles. Its system emphasizes mapping-free operation, no additional infrastructure requirements, and automatic battery swapping to enable continuous operations. The company has run a proof-of-concept pilot with Kenco Innovation Lab and plans to deploy drones to more than 10 Kenco warehouses in the U.S. by the end of 2023; it is also working with Incheon Port Authority in South Korea aiming to start a project by year-end. Founded in 2017 by Aiden Kim, a Stanford PhD who previously worked at Oracle and on dog-robot research at SAIL, B Garage targets labor shortages in logistics and related sectors. Financially, the company raised $20M in a Series A, bringing total capital raised to $30M; proceeds will be used to further develop and commercialize its drones and to grow engineering and business teams. B Garage also plans to expand its technology into industries beyond logistics, such as defense and security, and to introduce ground robots for broader inventory-management offerings.
