Mangata Networks is developing an integrated space‑based communications and compute platform that pairs HEO and MEO satellite constellations with MangataEdge™ micro data centers to bring cloud services to the network edge. Its patented architecture aims to provide scalable B2G and B2B connectivity, affordable global access, and direct extension into localized 5G, IoT, and Wi‑Fi networks. The company plans an initial launch of 8 HEO satellites to initiate Northern Hemisphere service in 2024, followed by 24 MEO satellites to achieve global coverage and greater capacity. Mangata planned community networks and commercial trials as early as 2023 in South Korea, Seattle’s 5G Open Innovation Lab, and the Scotland 5G Centre to validate use cases prior to satellite service start. The business was founded in February 2020, initially financed by MetaVC Partners, and is headquartered in Phoenix with operations in Denver, Prestwick (Scotland), Singapore, and Seoul. Recent financing activity includes a $33 million Series A to continue product development and deployment.
