StrongestLayer builds a reasoning-based email security platform that analyzes message intent and business context rather than relying on signatures, reputation, or historical patterns. The company says its system constructs arguments for legitimacy and maliciousness and weighs evidence to reach verdicts, enabling detection of attacks that look legitimate on the surface. StrongestLayer launched in 2024 and is based in San Francisco. Within months of release it won multiple competitive evaluations against legacy secure email gateways and newer AI-claimed platforms and reported production deployments grew more than eightfold since its initial funding. The company has published threat research, including a taxonomy of 44 email attack subtypes, and has made its detection framework available to the security community. Financially, StrongestLayer has raised $9.3M in total seed funding and is using the latest tranche to expand GTM and its platform ahead of a planned Series A.
