Cognition develops Devin, an autonomous AI software engineer designed to write and maintain code. The company acquired the remaining parts of Windsurf last year and positions itself against other model makers in the coding space. Cognition counts enterprise customers including Mercedes-Benz, NASA, Goldman Sachs and Santander. It reported a $492 million annualized revenue run-rate and said enterprise usage of Devin grew roughly 50% month-over-month for six months. The company has demonstrated rapid commercial adoption, which it cited alongside its latest financing.

Kalshi operates a prediction market exchange where users trade "event contracts" on outcomes of real-world events such as elections, award shows, and sports. The platform is a federally regulated financial exchange overseen by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Founded in 2018 and based in New York City, Kalshi has raised a large Series E round that initially amounted to $1.0B at an $11B valuation and recently received an additional $4.7M. The company has attracted a broad set of investors, including sports and entertainment figures and family offices. Management has stated the new capital will be used to expand operations and support development efforts.
