Vigour, founded in 2012 and previously known as Brisk.io, builds a platform that enables apps to run on any device and converges their interfaces into a single fluid experience over the cloud. The company is Amsterdam-based and was selected to participate at StartupBootCamp in Berlin in 2012. Its first product, Vigour Video, is a white-label template for media companies that lets viewers seamlessly connect different devices into a unified video experience. Users can swipe through content on a mobile device while additional information appears on a big screen, then play video on the big screen while using mobile as a remote or to browse for the next video. Vigour aims to create revolutionary products and user experiences and to enable novel distribution models for online content providers. Financially, Vigour secured a €500K seed investment from Linden Mobile Ventures and hub:raum and has joined Deutsche Telekom’s hub:raum accelerator in Berlin.
