- Highland Experience
Led · Equity · May 2024
Highland Experience Tours operates chartered trips and coach services and is headquartered on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. The business has operated since around 2005 and grew from a single vehicle to nearly 30 mini‑buses and small to full‑size coaches. It faced significant downsizing in 2020 due to the pandemic but has since recovered and grown beyond pre‑pandemic levels. The company secured a £2m funding package to upgrade its fleet and supports tourism to Scotland’s rural communities. With the new capital it plans to purchase five Grand Toro coaches and expects to create more than 20 new jobs. Management describes the investment as marking a new chapter for the business.
- Wernick Power Solutions
Led · Equity · May 2024

It recently purchased 36 battery storage units, bringing its fleet to over 130 units. The company secured a £2.1m investment from Lombard to fund the acquisition. Wernick Power Solutions expects this continued investment to increase staff headcount by up to 15 in 2024. It is part of the wider Wernick Group, which employs more than 800 people and is celebrating 90 years of business in 2024. Lombard and NatWest are cited as financing and banking partners that have supported the group's sustainability planning and equipment financing efforts.
