AjnaLens designs and manufactures Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality glasses and delivers end-to-end VR/AR/MR solutions tailored for enterprise, defence and skill-training customers. The company, an OEM based in Mumbai and founded in November 2014 at IIT‑Bombay, supplies hardware and software including indigenous defence solutions such as the see-through armour AjnaESAS. AjnaESAS has completed user field trials under the Ministry of Defence’s iDEX initiative, and AjnaLens is also developing augmented solutions to enhance MANPAD operator vision. Its commercial work includes partnerships and clients such as Tata Technologies (on projects to upgrade Industrial Training Institutes), the Indian Army, Indian Navy, DRDO, Ministry of Defence and several large enterprises. AjnaLens has a roughly 50-person team, has filed more than 15 national and international patents, and has won multiple innovation awards. The company recently raised Rs 12 crore in a Pre-Series A and plans to use proceeds to propel technology innovation, manufacture in India, and expand its team and customer base. AjnaLens is an augmented reality startup owned by Dimension NXG that develops mixed-reality glasses leveraging AR, VR and AI for clients in defence and education. Its product line includes AjnaBolt, a military-grade AI-powered mixed reality glasses, and AjnaLite/AjnaLite+, a wireless AR/VR headset with 84° field-of-view holographic clarity. The company was founded in November 2014 by Pankaj Raut, Abhishek Tomar and Abhijit Patil. It will use the fresh capital to enhance its defence offering, manufacture headsets, acquire talent, and improve technology and product capabilities while expanding into new markets. AjnaLens’s owner, Dimension NXG, has raised $2.2 million to date and last raised an angel round in 2018 featuring investor Vijay Shekhar Sharma. The current financing is a $1.5 million seed round led by MDAVF.
