  • Seal Robotics

    Participated · Seed · Feb 2026

Founded in 2025, Seal Robotics builds robotics and AI-driven systems that replace manual, high-risk processes in terminal logistics, starting with twistlock and pin handling used to secure containers on ships and trains. These activities are among the most dangerous and time-critical steps in container handling, and the company’s solution is designed to improve occupational safety, reliability, and process predictability for terminal operators facing labor shortages. Leveraging expertise drawn from space robotics at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the team is engineering hardware that can be remotely operated and function reliably in harsh maritime environments. With its newly raised capital, Seal Robotics plans to expand ongoing pilot projects in Northern Europe and Southeast Asia and to launch its first commercial robotic systems within the next year. Over the coming twelve months the company will also grow its engineering and operations teams and deepen partnerships with terminal operators worldwide. The pre-seed financing of approximately €1.8 million provides the resources to meet growing demand for container-handling automation and to harden the technology for full-scale deployment.

  • ABSORA

    Led · Seed · Dec 2025

ABSORA is a materials startup from Bopfingen that has created HSA3, an industrial micro-perforation technology able to absorb noise and vibration across a wide frequency range, reduce aerodynamic drag and remain extremely light and strong. Built on ten years of R&D by CTO Johannes Härle, the process makes micro-perforations economically viable at scale, positioning HSA3 as a sustainable alternative to traditional acoustic and structural materials such as stone wool and foam. The company seeks to replace conventional sheet metal wherever possible, offering lighter, quieter and more environmentally friendly solutions for sectors from power plants and HVAC equipment to buildings and vehicles. Initial pilot projects are underway in gas power stations, HVAC systems and other sound-damping installations, including a collaboration with Samsung-owned FläktGroup. Management estimates its addressable European market for lightweight construction, acoustic insulation and filtration at over €200 billion with annual growth above 8 percent. Proceeds from the latest financing will be used to scale HSA3 into serial production and launch additional industrial lighthouse projects. No revenue or user figures were disclosed in the article.
