Cue Biopharma has developed a platform of engineered biologics that combine peptide–MHC T cell receptor targeting with engineered costimulatory signaling ligands on an antibody scaffold to selectively engage disease-relevant T cell subsets. The platform is designed to elicit targeted T cell stimulation in oncology or downregulation in autoimmune settings, with interchangeable peptides enabling rapid extension to new indications. Cue’s lead candidate has shown promising preclinical activity, including synergy with checkpoint inhibitors, and is approaching the clinic. The technology originated in Steven Almo’s laboratory at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and was advanced with an NIH Specialized Center grant that enabled industry-scale prototyping. The company plans to use recent financing to accelerate development and selection of clinical candidates. Cue is headquartered in Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA and is led by an experienced management team and scientific advisory board.
