MobieFit is a multi-product mobile fitness (mFitness) venture launched by startup incubator Prototyze and actress Gul Panag. It has released FirstRun, a voice-assisted, coaching-based app and says it will launch additional apps in 2016. The company aims to expand its mFitness offering to more than 5 million corporate employees in urban India, according to director Gourav Jaswal. Medi Assist has invested in MobieFit, a partnership the companies say will strengthen Medi Assist’s presence in the consumer health and fitness market. MobieFit positions itself in a growing Indian fitness market alongside products such as Nike+ FuelBand, Fitbit Flex and Jawbone.
