  MedShift, founded in 2016 and led by CEO Joe Gasque, operates three technology divisions: Specialty Device Subscription, Connected Medical Device (IoT), and the Velocity Technology Suite (enterprise SaaS). The company provides products and services designed to streamline the supply-and-demand landscape for device consumables and injectables across dermatology, gynecology, plastic surgery, and medspa markets. MedShift currently partners with 25 aesthetic manufacturers and distributors, maintains a portfolio of more than 80 devices, and serves over 2,000 active medical providers. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, the company combines hardware and software to manage distribution and device workflows. MedShift intends to use the newly raised funds to further expand operations and broaden its business reach. The reported financing totals $108 million to support that expansion. MedShift delivers a platform-as-a-service to both medical device manufacturers and individual medical practices in the aesthetic device market. Its services for practices include support for about 30 aesthetic medical devices from nine manufacturers, an aesthetic eCommerce and subscription platform, in-house communications and marketing services, and inbound lead generation. For manufacturers the company provides a secure IoT platform consisting of hardware and software that enables real-time visibility, remote management, and big data modeling of device lineups. The company raised $8M in its first round of funding at a $150M post-money valuation and intends to use the proceeds to grow its presence in the enterprise software segment of the medical technology market. MedShift was founded in 2015, is based in Charlotte, NC, and is led by CEO Brian Phillips.
