  Reduciner commercialises a thermochemical process that converts captured carbon dioxide into carbon monoxide using renewable electricity and biogenic carbon, producing activated carbon as a co-product. Its output carbon monoxide is compatible with existing industrial machinery, allowing companies to reduce emissions without major infrastructure changes. The technology targets emissions-intensive sectors such as lime, cement, steel, and pulp and aims to enable circular use of carbon within industrial processes. Reduciner plans pilot and demonstration projects and initial industrial deployments in Finland, with broader international expansion planned. The company recently secured €3.6 million in funding combining equity and an in-kind IP contribution from VTT to support development and commercialisation.
