Led · Equity · Nov 2021
Evo is a London-based provider of a technology platform that digitises property repairs, maintenance and compliance services. Its platform automates much of the communication and administrative work around onboarding tenants' properties and repair events, reducing landlords' costs and delivering comprehensive property and portfolio information. The Evo app allows tenants to report a problem within 30 seconds, track its progress, schedule repair jobs at convenient times, and communicate directly with tradespeople. Evo works with private landlords, BTR, letting agents, housing associations and local authorities. The company intends to use the funding to continue its growth strategy in the UK's £30 billion rental sector. Evo raised £750k in Seed funding to support product and market expansion. Evo is a London-based proptech platform that connects landlords, tenants and trades professionals to streamline property management. The app lets renters report problems, receive information about their homes, and improves communication and turnaround times. Landlords and property managers get detailed service histories, real-time job tracking and a low-cost monthly subscription; trades professionals can accept jobs via the site. Evo positions itself as a tech-first, Uber/Deliveroo-style alternative to traditional property management to meet younger renters' expectations. The company was founded in 2018 and is led by co‑founders Dean Shepherd (CEO) and Mark Iandoli (Head of Service), with Steve Norris as chair. With the newly secured funding, Evo plans to build partnerships covering rent payments, utilities, grocery deliveries and engagement with local authorities.
