Universidad Kuepa is a Mexican online university that offers bachelor's programs and an accelerated program for high school graduation via its platform and content. The company provides bachelor's programs for under US$50 a month to more than 6,000 students. Kuepa plans to expand its existing offering of online bachelor's and master's programs. It intends to grow its student base in Mexico and the U.S. Hispanic market using the new capital. The company was co-founded by CEO Gonzalo Pulit and Jorge Garcia. Kuepa's platform-focused model enables low-cost delivery of degree and completion programs. Kuepa delivers workforce development to adults in Latin America through a blended model that combines small school sites and online learning. Its offerings include high-school completion programs plus short language, skills, and vocational trainings designed to improve employability. The company operates seven sites in Mexico and three in Colombia and serves over 4,000 students at those sites; through B2B programs more than 47,000 students use its online platform and digital educational content. Kuepa says it has trained over 70,000 students since founding. The business will use a new $2.5 million equity investment to continue opening schools, expand vocational training in Mexico and Colombia, and launch operations in Chile. Its model relies on partnerships with employers, governments, and other players to expand reach and job placement opportunities. Kuepa delivers workforce development via a proprietary platform that combines blended and online learning for working adults. Its core product is vocational and employability training delivered through blended learning content and physical schools. The company has trained over 30,000 young-adult students since its founding three years ago. Kuepa employs more than 250 people across five countries, including over 90 teachers and tutors. A $3 million convertible loan from the Multilateral Investment Fund and Inicia Fund will fund opening new schools and expanding vocational programs in Mexico, Colombia and other Latin American markets. Kuepa positions itself as an affordable, market-based solution for adults seeking technical and career skills.
