Savage X Fenty sells body-positive lingerie and is expanding into apparel, including a planned line of athletic wear. The company is pursuing a brick-and-mortar retail strategy and international growth in Europe, with plans to open 10 physical stores in 2022 and additional locations in Los Angeles, Houston, Philadelphia and the D.C. area. Its first storefront in Las Vegas features a tech-enabled fit experience using body scans and augmented reality to provide product recommendations. The brand has experienced rapid growth, reporting 200% sales growth in 2020, and aims to be a global leader in the lingerie market by 2025. To date the company has raised $310 million in total; its latest round did not disclose a new valuation, according to CultureBanx. Savage x Fenty is Rihanna's inclusive lingerie and apparel brand that sells direct-to-consumer products and operates a subscription business. Launched in 2018 as a joint venture with TechStyle Fashion Group, the brand is known for inclusive sizing and high‑visibility fashion shows. The company said revenues increased 200% in 2020 and its subscription membership grew 150%; sources reported sales were on track to hit $150 million in 2019. Savage x Fenty has 3.9 million Instagram followers, and Forbes estimated Rihanna's stake at about $80 million prior to the new funding. The company raised $115 million in the latest Series B, bringing total capital raised to $185 million to date. Proceeds are expected to fund retail expansion and a possible line of athletic wear.
