Founded in 2012 by CEO Sebastien Eckersley-Maslin, BlueChilli provides services to early-stage technology startups and to corporate customers seeking startup-like innovation. The company combines aspects of a digital agency, incubator, accelerator and venture capital fund to mitigate four key startup risk areas: Technology, Team, Traction and money. BlueChilli supplies a team to build and launch a Minimum Viable Product Plus (MVP+) and supports startups until they hire their own product teams. It offers a hub and advisory services, office space, meeting rooms, events and shared services such as recruitment, growth hacking and PR. The company runs a structured six-month course designed to prepare startups for Series A capital raising. BlueChilli also plans a $10m venture fund that, once closed, will co-invest in startups at the angel round by matching investment dollar for dollar, and intends to use recent funds to grow in the Australian tech startup market.
