Gianfranco and Serena Cordero are a father-daughter winemaking team based near Cuneo in Italy’s Piedmont region. They began producing wines in 2006 using grapes from the vineyard once worked by Serena’s late grandfather, Teresio. Gianfranco Cordero is a winemaker and oenologist with more than 130 clients in Piedmont. The pair produce Barolo, Barbaresco and Barbera wines under their family label “Gianfranco and Serena Cordero.” They raised $750K through crowdfunding via NakedWines.com to support production. NakedWines.com invests funds from its community of “angels” to make wine exclusively for the platform. Angels will receive the Corderos’ bottles at a fraction of the upcoming public release price.
