Sol Cuisine is a manufacturer of gourmet plant-based protein foods, producing burgers, balls, bites, sausages, fillets and roasts made with plant-based, non-GMO ingredients. Founded in 1996 and led by CEO John Flanagan, the company launched one of the first organic tofu products in Canada and has since expanded its product range. Its products are available in more than 4,000 locations, including Whole Foods, Albertsons, Safeway, Target, Kroger, Loblaws, Sobeys and Metro. The company operates a manufacturing facility and R&D lab in Mississauga, Ontario. The new $10M equity financing will enable continued product innovation and expanded distribution. Sol Cuisine emphasizes gourmet taste and world-class quality as it scales distribution to natural and grocery retailers as well as food service establishments.
