- HqO
Participated · Equity · Jun 2019
HqO provides a tenant experience (TeX) platform that lets landlords, property managers, and brokers improve the daily experience of office tenants while gathering actionable data on property use and satisfaction. Its mobile software supports in-app purchases from on-site retailers, delivers real-time building updates, promotes events and community initiatives, and manages digital access to amenities such as parking garages and fitness centers. Within less than two years, the company has deployed its solution across 20 million square feet of office space, including iconic assets like Chicago’s Willis Tower operated by Blackstone’s EQ Office. Clients also include major owners such as Jamestown, DivcoWest, and National Development. The platform positions property owners to attract and retain innovative tenants and ultimately increase asset value. With fresh capital, HqO plans to expand headcount across all departments, open additional offices, and evaluate international M&A opportunities. Financial details beyond the recent $6 million raise were not disclosed.
- Seamless Medical Systems
Led · Equity · Dec 2015
Seamless Medical Systems, based in Santa Fe, N.M., offers the Seamless Patient Engagement Platform™, a SaaS that automates patient registration and captures data for EMR integration. Its Paperless Patient Intake solution is deployed in 25 states, has logged over 1 million patient encounters, and has increased front-office productivity for clients by 20% or more. The platform uses iPads to replace paper forms, cutting registration time from about 30 minutes to 10 or less and eliminating manual data entry, paper, printing, shredding, and filing. That produces more accurate data, resulting in fewer errors and denied insurance claims, and reduces costs and waste. With the new funding the company plans to accelerate a national rollout and rapidly deploy to new clients currently in negotiations; CEO David Perez expects the company to triple in size in 2016. In January Seamless Medical also received $750,000 from The Kresge Foundation and California Healthcare to support rollout to Federally Qualified Health Clinics and safety-net providers. Seamless Medical Systems develops SNAP Practice, a cloud-based enterprise solution that connects patients and practices across the care continuum. SNAP Practice includes digital patient data capture integrated with practice EHRs, personalized health education tailored to patient demographics and conditions, and communications tools to engage patients outside the clinic. The company will devote the awarded funds to further product development and expand market penetration of SNAP Practice. Seamless Medical Systems received a $50,000 grant from the Venture Acceleration Fund (VAF) of Los Alamos National Security to support market acceleration. The VAF cited the platform, the company's team, and growth potential when selecting it for the award. Founder and CEO David Perez described the VAF award as validation of the company's progress and a vote of confidence in its future potential.
