NextEnergy supplies dynamically priced energy contracts that fluctuate in real time with the energy market and serves more than 70,000 households and small-business customers. Founded in 2022, the company has grown rapidly alongside broader uptake of dynamic contracts in the Netherlands. Management and founders have retained full ownership since founding, and recent shareholder and NLInvesteert financing was structured to support growth without diluting equity. The new capital will be used as working capital to pre-finance customers' energy, with particular focus on meeting demand in winter months. NextEnergy positions itself to expand further in a market that saw nearly 150,000 new dynamic contracts in 2025 according to the ACM Energy Monitor.
