  Seoul Robotics develops infrastructure-based autonomy technology that outfits surrounding infrastructure with sensors and software rather than embedding full sensor suites into vehicles. Its core products include Sensr, a perception and sensor-agnostic software platform launched in 2018, and the Level 5 Control Tower (LV5 CTRL TWR) infrastructure platform that uses autonomy-through-infrastructure (ATI) and V2X communications to provide lane-keeping, brake assistance and path selection to vehicles. The company offers three plug-and-play lidar development kits and solutions tailored to applications such as pedestrian safety, railroad obstacle detection, wrong-way driving detection, and Level 5 autonomy. Seoul Robotics has commercial pilots and partnerships with OEMs and partners including BMW, Mercedes‑Benz, Volvo, Qualcomm and LG Uplus, and is in discussions with about nine more global OEMs. It has deployed wrong-way detection on freeways and highways in California, Florida and Tennessee as well as in Europe and Asia. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Seoul with offices in Munich, California and Raleigh, the company plans to grow its team and expand Sensr applications into logistics, smart cities and security. Seoul Robotics develops a sensor-agnostic perception software platform, SENSR, that uses AI and machine learning to analyze and understand 3D LiDAR and sensor data. Its platform supports applications including smart city, smart factory, smart home, logistics, mobility, robotics, and autonomous mobility, and the company provides solutions to OEMs, system integrators, and government agencies. The company has announced commercial products such as Discovery to simplify implementation of LiDAR-based solutions and expand access. Seoul Robotics has partnerships with BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Qualcomm, University of Michigan, Chattanooga Department of Transportation, Korea Department of Transportation, Emart, and others. Founded in 2017, the company has offices in Seoul, Silicon Valley, Munich, and Detroit. Financially, Seoul Robotics secured a $6M seed round in December 2019 and a $3M government grant for autonomous vehicle deployment, and it was selected for a $12M bridge investment from the Korean government. Seoul Robotics develops SENSR™, an AI-enabled perception platform that processes 3D LiDAR data to deliver high-accuracy object detection at low computational cost. SENSR™ is integrated with most commercially available LiDARs and is being deployed by European OEMs, Korean corporations, and institutions. The company recently established a U.S. headquarters in Michigan to accelerate North American growth, led by David Han. Seoul Robotics partners with Nvidia Inception and the Renesas R-Car Consortium and advises customers on LiDAR selection across mobility, industrial robotics, and smart city applications. The company will allocate investment to expand in North America and to mature its technology into embedded and FPGA implementations for the mass mobility LiDAR market by end of 2020. Leadership framed continued and growing demand for 3D sensors and computer vision as drivers of the company’s roadmap.
