  Unsilo is a semantic search engine that combines natural language processing with statistical and semantic approaches to find answers across dozens of disparate sources. It targets enterprise customers in scientific, medical, legal and intellectual‑property research, aiming to surface answers beyond simple keyword matches. The product uses extensive query expansion and semantic‑pattern detection to group results by approach, and features an interactive animated visualization that lets users reweight or remove concepts to refine results. Unsilo launched MedQL last year, a research tool for geneticists that extracts evidence from more than 20M Medline articles. The company is in talks with publishers such as Elsevier, Thomson Reuters and Wiley that might become early license holders. It has several patents pending and is backed with $1M from Danish incubator Oei and Scale Capital as it prepares for a November launch, with a longer‑term plan to apply the framework to consumer use.
