PD Neurotechnology develops PD-Monitor, a wearable device that tracks the full range of Parkinson’s motor symptoms continuously and records drug and food intake to provide objective, day‑to‑day patient data. The device is intended to enable physicians to tailor treatment plans based on real‑world symptom profiles. In January 2023 PD‑Monitor was one of five devices conditionally recommended by NICE for remote monitoring to inform Parkinson’s treatment, enabling NHS use. More than 1,000 Parkinson’s patients have used PD‑Monitor in sales or clinical studies across the UK, USA, Canada and multiple European and regional markets. Preliminary patient feedback over monitoring periods up to two years indicates 43% felt their condition stabilised and 35% felt improved after using the device. Clinical trials reported very high reliability and specificity with symptom detection accuracy of up to 93%. PD Neurotechnology develops medical wearables paired with advanced AI software to monitor and support treatment for Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, usable at home or in non-clinical settings. The company was founded in 2015 and its team includes 40 specialists across biomedical devices, neurology, healthcare, logistics and AI, supported by an advisory board of neurology and Parkinson’s scientists. Sales and marketing are based in Athens, while R&D and production operate out of Ioannina. The company currently operates in 13 European countries and planned a U.S. launch for the last quarter of 2022. PD Neurotechnology says it will use new funds for manufacturing, clinical trials, and to accelerate business development into new markets. Management emphasizes non-invasive solutions that strengthen doctor-patient relationships and continued product diversification.
