  iSpecimen provides on-demand human biospecimens to the life science community. Its technology lets users search patient specimens flowing through a partner network of healthcare facilities to find biospecimens based on laboratory and medical record data. The company partners with healthcare providers to gain access to laboratory specimens and patient-level data, matching these against researchers' needs and simplifying specimen sourcing. Founded in 2009 and based in Lexington, Massachusetts, iSpecimen raised $8m in a Series B financing. It plans to use the funds to grow its healthcare partner network and scale operations.
